Fairly Odd Sanctuary exists because we believe people were never meant to live isolated, disconnected from one another, disconnected from the land, disconnected from their food, disconnected from their health, and disconnected from their purpose.
Modern life has created convenience, but often at the cost of resilience, tribe, meaningful contribution, and community connections.
We believe there is another way.
Not through escaping the world, but through rebuilding healthy relationships with ourselves, one another, the land, and the Creator.
Our Mission
To be the friend and guide that helps others find their sovereignty.
We seek to reconnect people with community, tribe, stewardship, personal responsibility, practical living, meaningful contribution, and the natural systems and rhythms that sustain life.
What We Are Building
Fairly Odd Sanctuary is a ministry-centered community in the early stages of development.
Today we steward land, animals, gardens, wild food and medicine systems, and infrastructure near Southern Colorado while laying the foundation for the creation of something much larger than ourselves.
Our vision is to create a resilient tribe of people who support one another through shared values, spiritual belief, stewardship, personal responsibility, practical skills, food production, healing, and meaningful contribution.
We are not a finished community.
We are building one.
What We Believe
Land is inheritance, stewardship, and sacredly entrusted.
Personal responsibility and introspection matter.
Ones own growth and healing is an ongoing journey and has no end destination.
We can live in abundance and peace without the current systems of governance.
People need tribes.
Collectively we can build new parallel systems that honor and support personal and tribal growth.
Stewardship of the Creators Creation is a sacred responsibility.
Strong tribes are built through trust, shared values, spiritual belief, and meaningful participation.

Trust is built through consistency, contribution, shared knowledge and experience.
Participation within Fairly Odd Sanctuary develops through relationship and demonstrated alignment rather than entitlement or immediate access.

Community Circle
Aligned individuals may be invited to participate in recurring online gatherings.
These meetings allow us to build relationships, share progress, support one another, and demonstrate consistency over time.
Active participation is expected.
Stewardship Immersion
As trust develops, people may be invited to spend time on ministry land or projects.
The purpose is not labor exchange.
The purpose is exploring compatibility, contribution, stewardship, and community through proximity.
Tribe Builder
Those who consistently demonstrate alignment, contribution, integrity, and commitment may be invited into long-term participation and future stewardship opportunities.
There is no predetermined timeline.
Relationships develop at the pace of trust.
The Long-Term Vision
Over time, we hope to cultivate a resilient tribe capable of stewarding land, producing food, supporting one another, raising future generations, caring for elders, and creating opportunities for those seeking a different way of living.
This vision will not be built overnight.
It will be built relationship by relationship, project by project, and steward by steward.
Supporting the Mission & Vision
Fairly Odd Sanctuary is being built through the dedication, time, diligence, effort, personal resources, and generosity of the people who believe in its mission and share in its vision.
There is no required financial commitment to explore alignment, participate in online conversations, or build relationships within the community.
As opportunities for deeper involvement emerge, there may be pathways for extended ministry and tribal immersion, remote individual or group projects, and participation in the daily life of stewarding the Sanctuary. These opportunities may include contributing toward shared projects, land stewardship, infrastructure, tools, events, or other ministry initiatives while living in closer proximity to the land based tribe through the rhythms of the community life and the seasons. Some people may choose to contribute financially, while others may contribute through skills, leadership, labor, expertise, or other meaningful forms of service. We view these experiences as a form of stewardship pilgrimage, a time of deeper relationship with Creator, self and others within tribe, learning new skills and refining current ones, service, and discernment for those exploring a greater commitment to the stewardship of the Creators Creation, the journey back to true self, and the collective mission and vision of the ministry.
Our goal is not to create obligations, but to cultivate a culture where people contribute according to their abilities, passions, interests and where the honor and responsibility of building something worthwhile is shared amongst the many rather than shouldered by a few.
